Random Bullshit Go
Come out on top of chaos! Random Bullshit Go is a hyper-interactive real-time free-for-all card game for 3-5 players.
You can download it free on itch.io.

Adapt to Bullshit
The goal of the game is simple: be the first to 15 points. That would be easy, if not for your friends trying to stop you. Other players might:
- Counter your cards
- Redirect your cards to use them for themselves
- Rearrange the ordering so their cards happen first
- And more!
Anticipate it, and do the same to them!
Timing is Everything
Every card you play goes on the stack. The stack is first-in-last-out — if you play a card, then someone else plays a card, their card will resolve (take effect) first. If someone else plays a third card, that resolves first, and so on. Utilizing the order of the stack is key to victory!
Unlike most card games, this is all real-time. There's no need to wait your turn; you can play your cards whenever. But if everyone waits too long, the top card on the stack will resolve!

Tweak the Rules
Random Bullshit Go provides a variety of gamemodes for distinct experiences. What would it be like if you only needed 1 point to win? What if the timer was twice as fast? What if there were more Chicken Storms in the deck? Change the options and see!

Inspirations
The game is highly inspired by Magic, especially the Commander format. Commander is awesome because of the free-for-all multiplayer and general unpredictability. A few turns in, you'll often find yourself looking at a wild board state and wondering how exactly you got into this position. Sometimes one player will be far ahead and the rest will have to team up to stop them. And sometimes everyone will be an inch from winning for several turns in a row, barely answering threats to win.

Random Bullshit Go tries to recreate that feeling within the scope of a stack. There's no resource system, and therefore nothing to stop you from adding your cards onto the ever-growing stack. There's a timer, pushing you to act or wait to fake out your opponents. And the card effects are designed to only make the situation weirder.
Other miscellaneous inspirations:
- Cosmic Encounter - this board game does the "everyone is an inch from winning" moment excellently. And the flare cards are devious.
- /r/hmm and "Cursed Images" - these photos always put me in a chaotic mood and inspired the use of photo composites in the game's art.
Development
The game was developed as a hobby project using the Godot game engine. It started with a paper prototype during the "paper game jam" at K-State's Game Dev Club. But the paper version was both fun enough to play and hard enough to manage that it became obvious I needed to make a digital version.
