You can do whatever you want with it so long as you provide credit and license your work under a similar Creative Commons license. Of course, this does not restrict any other right you may have to use my work, e.g. under fair use.

Site code (scripts, layouts, stylesheets, etc.) is licensed under GNU Affero GPL v3. Distributed modifications and copies running on a webserver must provide their source code and must be published under the same license.

Philosophy

I'm working towards making this site a part of the IndieWeb. I believe in having a place to own my own data outside of the large corporate platforms. And I want to be able to share that place with others!

I mostly try to follow principles of Brutalist Web Design. The content comes first!

No generative AI is used in any writing on this site, unless specifically stated for the purpose of discussing its outputs. What would be the point of having my own website if I was going to let a machine write the words on it?

Source code is available in the GitHub repository.

This is a static site generated by Eleventy. Content is stored in plain text files. It requires no client side JavaScript.

CSS styles are processed with PostCSS, mostly for autoprefixing. Normalize CSS is used as a base and syntax highlighting uses the Atelier color scheme (provided by PrismJS).

Most text uses the FigTree font by The Figtree Project Authors. Headers use the Electrolize font by Gaslight.

Icons are from FontAwesome. They are packaged into a webfont using svgtofont.

Background is from Subtle Patterns designed by Myriam Lefebvre.
